Working Rights in Australia

In Australia, students are allowed to work part-time during their academic careers to fulfill their financial needs. Students cannot work more than 40 hours per fortnight. This is the maximum limit of working hours for students. But, during vacations students can work for unlimited hours. Moreover, unlimited working hours are allowed for Ph.D. students and research students of the Master’s Program.

Working Rights Post-Study

Post-study working rights are different for different education programs such as:

Masters and Bachelors graduates are allowed to apply for 2 years work visa after completing their degrees.
D. and research students of Masters are allowed to apply for a 3-4 year work visa after completing their degrees and research project.
ther students are allowed to apply for a temporary visa. With a temporary visa, students can stay for 18 months in Australia to work or find a job.

Students are allowed to extend their stay on finding a job. They can even go for a permanent residence in Australia.

Required Documents

Documents like valid passport, Valid TOEFL OR IELTS score, Sufficient Bank Balance, passport size photographs, and admission letter of college or university are required to get admission in any Australian university.
