In Australia, students are allowed to work part-time during their academic careers to fulfill their financial needs. Students cannot work more than 40 hours per fortnight. This is the maximum limit of working hours for students. But, during vacations students can work for unlimited hours. Moreover, unlimited working hours are allowed for Ph.D. students and research students of the Master’s Program.

Post-study working rights are different for different education programs such as:
Masters and Bachelors graduates are allowed to apply for 2 years work visa after completing their degrees.
